Terms of Service

Version 1.3 · Last updated 23 August 2026 · QuoVira Health Ltd

Striova is not a medical device and gives no medical advice or diagnosis. Always seek a qualified professional about your child's health. In an emergency call 999 or NHS 111.

These Terms are a contract between you and QuoVira Health Ltd (company number 17322340). By creating an account or using Striova you agree to them. How we handle personal data is in our Privacy Notice.

1. What Striova is — and is not

Striova helps you record observations about your child and prepare information to discuss with professionals. Its scores, insights and summaries are informational prompts only and are not a diagnosis. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something in Striova.

2. Eligibility & your account

You must be 18 or over and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add, with authority to provide that child's information. Provide accurate details, keep your password secure, and tell us of any unauthorised use. You're responsible for activity on your account.

3. Consent

At registration you give specific consents, including explicit consent to process your child's health data. These are recorded and can be reviewed or withdrawn in Privacy & consent. Withdrawing essential consent means we can no longer provide the service.

4. Striova Core, the free trial, and paid plans

Striova Core is free, and you can keep using it for as long as you like.

Every new account also starts with a 14-day free trial of Striova Pro. You don't need to give card details for it, and it does not turn into a paid subscription by itself. If you do nothing when it ends, your account simply moves to Core — your data stays exactly where it is, and only the Pro features stop being available.

If you do decide to subscribe to Pro on the web, you enter payment details at checkout. Any trial time you have left is honoured first; when it ends, your paid subscription begins and your card is charged. After that it renews automatically at the price then in force until you cancel. The price is always shown to you before you pay.

Subscribing through the Apple App Store or Google Play works differently, because the store is the seller and takes the payment. A free trial or introductory offer taken through a store follows that store's rules — and, unlike our in-app trial, a store trial normally becomes a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings before it ends (the stores generally require at least 24 hours' notice). You manage, cancel and request refunds for those subscriptions through the store, not through us.

You can cancel at any time. Your Pro access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

5. Your right to change your mind (14 days)

Because you subscribe online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of taking out a paid subscription and get your money back. This is separate from cancelling a renewal, and it is in addition to anything else in these Terms.

If you subscribed on the web, email [email protected] within 14 days of subscribing. You don't need to give a reason. We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving your message, to the payment method you used.

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store is the seller and holds your payment, so you exercise that right with Apple or Google through their refund process rather than with us. We'll happily point you to it if you're stuck.

Beyond that 14-day right, we don't refund part-used subscription periods — if you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. That doesn't affect your rights if something is actually wrong with the service; section 11 covers that.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Striova unlawfully or for a child you have no authority over; don't upload unlawful content, access others' data, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, or use it to give medical advice to others.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it only to provide the service and as described in the Privacy Notice (including anonymised improvement only if you opt in). You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.

8. Availability, and changes to Striova or these Terms

We work to keep Striova available, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted or entirely free of faults.

We may add, change or withdraw features. If a change materially reduces what you get from a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel and stop paying, without penalty.

We may also update these Terms, or our prices. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a price rise or a material change to these Terms takes effect, and you're free to cancel before it does, again without penalty. Continuing to use Striova after that means you accept the change.

9. Intellectual property

The Striova name, logo, software and content are owned by or licensed to QuoVira Health Ltd. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Striova's observation tools (including the SOR) are structured records of what you and others have observed, not diagnostic instruments.

10. Termination

You can stop using Striova and delete your account anytime (Privacy & consent → Delete your account). We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or where legally required. On termination your licence ends and we handle your data per the Privacy Notice.

11. Our responsibility to you

We owe you some things by law and we're not trying to sign them away. Striova should be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose we describe, match how we've described it, and be provided with reasonable care and skill. If it isn't, tell us — we'll put it right, and if we can't, you're entitled to a reduction in what you pay.

Some liability can never be limited, and we don't attempt to: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, and anything else the law says can't be excluded.

Beyond that, there are limits. Striova gives you information, not medical advice — we're not responsible for decisions taken by relying on it as though it were, so please speak to a qualified professional. We're not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, for losses caused by information you enter incorrectly, or for business losses. Where we are liable, our total liability over any 12-month period is limited to the greater of what you paid us in that period or £100.

None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. If something goes wrong

Please tell us first — most things are quickest to fix directly. Email [email protected] and we'll aim to reply within 5 working days.

QuoVira Health Ltd, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (company number 17322340).

For anything about your personal data, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction — except that, if you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, and can bring proceedings in your local courts.
